Our blog aims to touch this sensitive issue about women rights and empowerment as it is much needed here, in Pakistan. We dont intend to discriminate against men in power or men in general. All we want is to define the postion of women in our country and for men to understand that position. This blog will be a wake up call and a source of motivation for women to reinvent themselves and to stand up for their rights.
Nice awareness video.. but just some point i'd like to add
ReplyDeleteFirstly.. there are over a 100 organizations working in one way or the other for women empowerment.. but the fact is that the women in our country can never be empowered unless the whole family is empowered.
These very women you show would get beaten up in the morning but would be returning to the solitude of their husband, father or brother in the evening...
What needs to be empowered is the family.. unless we focus on the whole family's economic condition and change the way these ppl realy think... we can never empower the women or OUR very nation for the matter..
Looking at the facts of how these families work, I have reached to a conclusion that it IS the male member that provides the finance to the family.. we have to empower that male member, but we also need to make him understand that the women besides him is also a support and that support has to be realized.
So we need to make the whole family think about the enterprise they set up and setup their thinking in a manner that both the parties would indulge in a cummulative decision rather than the decision of one...
an eye opening video.... ppl livin in dha or othr areas usually dnt realize the plight of women... how they are treated worse then a mule... i thnk education of both men n women is the only soloution to this problem
ReplyDeletesad. very, very sad. =[
ReplyDeletemakes you feel totally helpless.
the important thing to consider here is that women are emotional sensitive creatures. for them to believe in themselves the world needs to believe in them. so many women are a victim of domestiv violence and still go back to thier foul husbands. they make them think it is thier fault that they were abused
ReplyDeletemost women dont have any where else to go and hence they put up with the violence even though they knw they r right. women cant empower themselves unless they know they hv support. the worl calls them selfish or speakill of thier character if they walk off, if they take the kids how will she feed them?
the balance of nature is really tipped off guys.... we dont want the divorce rate to go high we just demand respect!
omg ,dats an eye opener,,,great job done,,,cnt even think dat women cud be treated lyk an animal....keep it up as ur awaring us,,!!
ReplyDeletemen are da one who r treating us in dis way,we have to empower dem to gain justice,,,i think media iz working hard on it but still our youth shud take a stand...
ReplyDeletenow that was painful !!
ReplyDeleteits a shame living in the same country we are unaware of all these nuisances...and its a pity nothing is being done to put an end to it !...
it seems we're back in the dark ages where women were ill-treated, and weren't believed to be worthy of living as normal human beings.....
and then we say we are MUSLIMS!!
this is really an eye opener..a very sad video..
ReplyDeletethats a really sad vidoe =(
